Bentley Continental GT/PE (Plumber's Edition)
New Zealand plumber Paul Vandenberg has one hell of a sense of humor (as well as presumably deep pockets). While most in his trade use vans or other practical haulers as their primary on-the-job vehicles, Paul has decided to opt for more comfort, less space and a ton of attention. His business ride of choice? A Bentley Continental GT, complete with ad signage and roof rack to carry work materials. The idea was to garner publicity for his business, Atlas Plumbing, and as you can see, it worked like a charm. According to Vandenberg, his wife was less than thrilled with the idea (why are we not surprised?), but she's since "come around." For his part, Vandenberg says he'd like to work his magic on one of Maranello's finest next time... the mere thought of which makes many Ferraristi shudder, we're sure.
To each his own. No word on whether or not high-speed open-road blasts are included with Mr. Vandenberg's service visits, but if it was our sink getting fixed, we'd be sure to arrange for one.

This won't go down well with his customers. My friends Dad is a plumber and owns a Kleemann-ised Mercedes. He took it to a client's house once and they pretty much said "If you can afford to use that for work, I'm paying you too much" and switched to a different plumber.

My dad was a plumber for 35 years. we made good money. He made about 30,000 a month in sales of which after every single expense, he brought home about 12-14 thousand. We did other things with our money, but we certainly could afford an expensive ride.
Think of a young punk right now with no family and no expenses. He can finance one of these things for 2000 a month. Its totally cool.

wake up guys:
1- it's probably leased for a year to his business and it is for work and advertising not taking out playboy models on the weekends
2- if you think plumbers get paid too much next time your toilet overflows and your bathroom is filled with shit clean it and unclog the pipe yourself, you'll save a few bucks

Wait a minute...
Are you saying one *doesn't* need a F-750 Super-Duty Big Horn Trail-Rated Jumbo Edition to carry drain snakes and a toolbox around?
Of course, the Bentley is an even sillier purchase, but this guy's blowing the lid off several tradesmen's arguments for tootling around in a monster truck.

It’s defiantly a classier ride then the standard work van. I’m sure the interior will get worked over nicely in a year or so.
